Large amounts of decay, wear, or tooth protection following root canal treatment are all reasons why Dr. Kellerman may recommend a crown. The E4D uses a sensor to digitally scan the tooth. It takes 3D images of the tooth surface and the surrounding teeth. This ensures that your new crown will fit comfortably and be as effective as your natural teeth.
After the Doctor uses the digital scanner to capture the tooth images, it is electronically sent to the crown milling machine (crown creator). This machine will then use a unique block of porcelain to mill your crown. This takes as little as 8 minutes! After the crown is complete, a shade match to your existing teeth will be done. This ensures that your new crown will look natural and match the rest of your smile.
